Dani Alves risks up to 12 years in prison if he is found guilty of sexually assaulting a 23-year-old girl, which allegedly happened on December 30 in a nightclub in Barcelona.

The defender has been in custody since January 20 after the Court ordered the player's arrest. The 39-year-old has categorically denied that he is guilty, even though the security cameras "show" the opposite. From their examination, it can be seen that Alves stayed in the toilet with the alleged victim for about 15 minutes.

About this event, the former defender of Barcelona has given three different versions, but for the investigators none of them is convincing.

He said that he does not know the girl he allegedly sexually assaulted, then he claimed that he saw her, but nothing happened and in the end, he admitted that it was the 23-year-old who agreed to go with him.

Meanwhile, on the other hand, the Spanish newspaper "El Pais" adds that the girl has given up the financial reward from Alves.
