Casemiro is Manchester United's latest signing, who was transferred from Real Madrid for 70 million euros.

He was introduced on Monday night before Manchester United won the English derby against Liverpool.

In the press conference, among other things, the Brazilian said that he hopes that Ronaldo will still stay at "Old Trafford".

"I have not spoken to Cristiano, I hope he stays because he is one of the best players of all time. He is excellent" , said Casemiro.

Casemiro and Ronaldo were teammates at Real Madrid, where the two won many trophies together, including four Champions Leagues.

The 30-year-old midfielder then spoke about his future at "Old Trafford" and his past in Madrid.

"I want to bring my values ​​to Manchester United, everything that Real Madrid has taught me, to win day by day, from every training session ," added Casemiro.

Manchester United offered him almost double his salary at Real, but Casemiro insisted he did not go to England for the money.

"Those who think I came here for money are wrong, they don't know me, it's not like that ," said Casemiro.

"At the end of the Champions League final, I had a feeling that my era with Real had ended. I didn't make a quick decision to leave, I went on vacation and after I came back I had the same opinion ," added the Brazilian.

"I received the offer from Manchester United and I liked it, as did my wife. My family was always by my side in this decision ," the 30-year-old emphasized.

Casemiro is expected to be one of the highest paid footballers along with goalkeeper Dacid De Gea who will earn £375,000 a week.

We remember that Casemiro spent eight seasons with the Real team, who played a total of 336 games, scoring 36 goals.

The Brazilian with Real's shirt has won many titles, among them the Champions League five times and La Liga four times.
