Portuguese midfielder Bernardo Silva will leave Manchester City at the end of the season. The news was confirmed by Guardiola's assistant, Pep Lijnders, after the FA Cup win over Liverpool.

"Bernardo is a unique footballer who cannot be replaced. Every beautiful story has an end. I hope he enjoys these last months to have the farewell he deserves with the City team," said Pep Lijnders, assistant coach of Manchester City.

The 31-year-old has spent 9 seasons with the Citizens, winning important trophies, including 6 Premier League titles and a Champions League.

The Portuguese moved to England in the summer of 2017 from Monaco for a fee of 50 million euros and became a leader for Guardiola, who has always considered him one of the most important. He has played 450 games, scoring 76 goals and providing 77 assists. In total, he has won 18 trophies. This season, although he has lost ground in the lineup, he has been active in 43 games, scoring 3 goals and providing 5 assists.

Juventus have shown interest in Silva, looking to transfer him as a free agent in June.
