"Was Real embarrassed?", Ancelotti returns to the journalists after
Carlo Ancelotti

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti criticized his side's mistakes in their 3-1 defeat to Barcelona in the Spanish Super Cup, but refused to consider Sunday night's result a "disgrace".

When asked if what was seen on the field seemed a shame to him, the Italian coach answered bluntly:

"It's disrespectful to say that. We lost against Barcelona, but we beat them in the championship. They played better and deserved the victory, that's all."

Further, he analyzed the loss like this: "We gave gifts in the first two goals. The match started evenly, without much pace. When the result was unlocked, they gained more confidence. The first thing we have to do is avoid giving gifts to the opponent, then play as a team. Also, we need to improve our form".

Barcelona wins the first trophy of the year and the first for Xavi, as he triumphed 3-1 in "El Clasico" against Real Madrid.

In the meeting held in Saudi Arabia, Barcelona deserved the victory by showing a much better game than Real Madrid.

The first goal of the match was scored by Gavi in the 33rd minute, while at the end of the first half, the Polish Lewandowski scored the second goal. Another talent, Pedri scored the third goal in the 69th minute, while Benzema scored in the 93rd minute.
