Kremlin's conditions for peace in Ukraine revealed / Putin proposed a

The Kremlin has clarified the main points that Russian President Vladimir Putin mentioned during his phone call with US President Donald Trump.

The statement said the Russian side "highlighted a number of important points" that required further consideration, including "effective control" over any ceasefire along the conflict line and Russia's demand to halt the mobilization of Ukrainians and the rearmament of its armed forces along with its broader demand for "eliminating the root causes of the crisis."

The statement also adds Moscow's "main condition" to prevent further escalation of the conflict to a demand to "completely cease" foreign military aid and intelligence sharing to Ukraine.

But the announcement says Putin has agreed to a 30-day ceasefire in energy infrastructure and says the Russian leader has already issued relevant orders.

The text released by the Kremlin also says that Putin "responded constructively" to the proposal for a ceasefire at sea, with further negotiations on the issue.

The statement also says Putin informed Trump of plans for a Russian-Ukrainian exchange of 175 prisoners of war from each side, and "as a gesture of goodwill" and a further release of 23 "seriously wounded" Ukrainian servicemen.

The reading also covered their discussions on the Middle East and the Red Sea, as well as the broader push for "normalization of bilateral relations."

What is striking, and not mentioned by the White House, is that the Kremlin says Putin has discussed his idea with Trump about organizing a hockey match between the US and Russia.
