DISMISSAL from Rubio/ Yuri Kim accepts the deal: Stop the investigation and I'll leave DASH!

At noon on Monday, March 17, 2025,  Yuri Kim set foot for the last time at the US Department of State , where she handed over all the credentials of the position she held, as First Deputy Secretary for Eurasia .

The order for her dismissal was initialed by Secretary Rubio on Friday, March 14, 2025, while Ms. Kim was given the right to pack up her office and hand in her credentials on Monday.

Qualified sources told Hashtag.al that Ms. Kim was offered a " negotiated dismissal " type deal, which she accepted.

This agreement guarantees that the official agrees to leave and receives salary for the next 6 months (until September), while any administrative investigations that may be underway against the official are dismissed.

This agreement does not include criminal investigations, but only administrative ones, which are related to the State Department's manual of rules and obligations.

On the same date, the dismissal of Michael Kasanoff, Yuri Kim's subordinate and confidant, was also signed.

Mr. Kasanoff visited Tirana in the second half of December 2024, when he officially came for the ceremony of the "5th anniversary of the creation of SPAK".

The dismissal of Yuri Kim and Michael Kasanoff is similar to the dismissals of judges and prosecutors in Tirana, who were given the opportunity to leave voluntarily by agreement.

The names of Yuri Kim and Michael Kassanof have been removed from the State Department's electronic list, while her dismissal with a negotiated contract is in fact a final expulsion from the American diplomatic system.
