"The voting was not clean" - Luciano Boçi reacts after losing the race for DP vice-president

DP MP, Luciano Boçi, has commented on the elections held for the leadership positions of the Democratic Party, a process after which he lost the position of vice-president, after Belind Këlliçi won the race against him.

Boçi admitted that the voting within the Democrats had problems and that it was not completely clean. He said that the voting was more subjective than objective.

" The moment of voting is a moment that has many elements within it. It is not very pure as a moment, it is very subjective and not very objective.

We both had the same opportunities. I don't think Këlliçi lobbied more. These are things that have their relativity. I won't go into details ," said Boçi.

Meanwhile, regarding Sali Berisha's statement that "this is the best team in history", Boçi said that it is about two different moments and that it was four years ago.

" It is Mr. Berisha's right to give that definition. It is the party leader's team in this case and it is the party leader's right to give an opinion. He makes a confrontation of the teams continuously.

Teams also depend on political momentum. This momentum is not the same as it was four years ago, when we were faced with a very difficult situation and where the existence of the Democratic Party was at stake. I am talking about the moment when I was elected vice president of the Democratic Party.

Usually we as a society suffer from amnesia, but political parties in Albania also suffer from amnesia. They must also consider what has happened and the same situations cannot be compared.

"So, it was a completely different situation then and you can't say that that team wasn't good either. We have a completely different situation now for what's coming, it's the party leader's right to give such characterizations ," he said.
