The EU Commissioner for Neighborhood and Enlargement, Oliver Varhelyi, received the Foreign Minister Igli Hasani in a meeting today.

In a reaction on social networks, Varhelyi expresses confidence that at the end of this year, membership negotiations for the First Cluster, for Albania, will be opened.

"Albania, as a negotiating country, has continued to make progress in reforms related to the EU.

I met Minister Igli Hasani on the sidelines of the meeting of EU and Western Balkan Ministers to discuss the next steps.

Our aim is to open the membership negotiations for the First Cluster by the end of this year", says Varhelyi.
