The head of the Dossier Authority, Genta Sula, told during an interview on the show "Opinion" how the institution she leads went to the file of the former State Security, where the former president of the country, Ilir Meta, appears.
Sula said that the clue came from an informal e-mail, but that it turned out that in the indicated location there was a document implicating Ilir Meta as an associate of the former State Security.
"It was an informal e-mail sent not only to us, but also to the addresses of embassies and possibly the media. And this e-mail did not come from us. This e-mail showed us the location where the document could be found and the name of the folder where the document could be found", said Sula.
However, Sula claimed that the e-mail had no name, but some clues and an IP. The head of the Files Authority said that the sender of the e-mail was not answered, but in the meantime the authority had searched in the indicated place to verify the case.
"The information was important. Two of the members went to the fund to verify the case. The authority of 5 people has full authority over all network archives, has the power to make verifications. The presence of a document was established, the fact that the person is protected was established, and therefore it turned from a person into a phenomenon", said Genta Sula.
