Democratic Leader Sali Berisha, in his Monday media appearance from the Blue House, sent a message to diplomats stationed in Tirana, asking them to stop supporting the narco-state.
According to Berisha, there are still diplomats who advocate for the narco-state, but "the sun cannot be covered with a sieve."
Therefore, the DP, according to him, will continue its mission to expose the government's links to crime and drugs.
"As for international partners, we are generally pleased to note that we have support in this battle, as there are others, also from the international factor, who continue to support the narco-state with all their might. But we do not lose patience. We consider this a mission, a very difficult mission. Yes, yes, there are still diplomats today who do not want to listen, who say that Berisha is overdoing the work of the narco-state with this. I understand, but I tell them that we have difficult lawyers. Berisha did not invent the narco-state, the narco-state has unfortunately encircled this country like a crab. And to those who try to hide it, I tell them that the sun cannot be covered with a sieve," said Berisha.
Further, the DP leader accused the former US ambassador to Tirana, Donald Lu, of supporting the construction of a narco-state.
"The truth is that Edi Rama built the narco-state, but he built it in open support of Ambassador Donald Lu, of George Soros, with the complete silence of the EU ambassador. But times change. Today, the US representative in a series of meetings one after another with Albanian officials brings the main message of the fight against drug cartels and terrorists, collaborators with drug cartels. You remember the speech in the summer of 2015, congratulating the police for the fight against drugs, at a time when Albania was infested everywhere. You remember the reports that Vllahica made, which he received from Rama's office and sent to the European Commission, about the successful battles of Edi Rama, who was actually building the narco-state ," Berisha declared.
