The MP of the Joint Movement, Redi Muçi, has not ruled out the possibility of being a candidate for mayor of Tirana in the upcoming local elections. He announced that the decision on the candidacy will be made by the Joint Movement Coordination Council.

In a statement to Euronews Albania, Muçi said that if he is elected as a candidate, his mandate in Parliament will pass to Arlind Qori, who is second on the list of MPs of this political force.

"When the election date is announced, we will come up with our candidate, which could be any of us. It is not necessarily Arlind Qori, it could be me, but also someone else like Mirela Ruko, Jani Marka. There are a number of figures who could be worthy of being the head of the Municipality of Tirana. The decision will be made within the Together Movement and I will obey the collective. If I am elected, my seat in parliament will be taken by Arlind Qori," said Muçi.
