Prime Minister Edi Rama declared that the distance from Shkodra to Tirana will take 40 minutes, while from the capital of the north to the south of Albania will take 2 hours.
The challenge - said the head of the government - remains the construction of the blue corridor, part of the Thumanë-Kashar highway, up to Muriqan.
The Prime Minister declared that in a few days the new contracts for the segments from Kashari to Rrogozhina and from Rrogozhina to Fier will be concluded.
The projects were presented to the head of government from Shkodra, where he participated in the international competition for the new Rozafa.
" Considering the necessity of a fast and safe connection of Shkodra either with the north or with Tirana and the south, the main challenge remains for the construction of the blue corridor up to Muriqan, which already has one segment completed, the Thumanë-Kashar axis, but which will continue with other segments that will connect Balldren with Milot, Milot with Muriqani and then Balldren with Muriqani. We are clear about the steps and in the meantime we have done an important part of the work for the projects. In a few days, new contracts will be signed for the following segments from Kashari to Rrogozhina, from Rrogozhina to Fier, and the connection time between Shkodra and Tirana within this decade will be 40-45 minutes. Meanwhile, the connection time of Shkodra with the south will be the same as it is today with Tirana. So you can go to Vlora in two hours. And so on for all other projects ," said Rama.
