Beleri from the airport: I will take my case to Strasbourg!

Fredi Beleri spoke from Rinas shortly before leaving for Athens first and then France, where he will be sworn in as an MEP.

He warned that he will pursue all links to gain his innocence.

"I thank the Directorate of Prisons for making this decision. It was a decision within the law and logic. The question arises why this simple thing was not done to take the oath as mayor. There are important decisions and votes in Strasbourg tomorrow. I will complain in every link of Albanian justice and if I don't find justice, I will take it to Strasbourg", declared Beleri.

Fredi Beleri lost his mandate as an elected member of the Municipality of Himara, after he was sentenced by GJKKO to 2 years for buying votes.

He accused the Albanian judiciary that two standards were followed for his case.
