The leader of the Democratic Party of Albania, Sali Berisha, appeared at SPAK this morning in implementation of the "compulsory appearance" security measure.
As on other occasions, the leading democrat was welcomed by his supporters outside the premises of the Special Prosecution Office.
Berisha is accused of having, in his capacity as prime minister at the time, taken concrete actions in approving laws and bylaws, where his son-in-law, Jamarbër Malltezi, was also a beneficiary for the construction of palaces on the site of the former Partizani sports complex.
Malltezi is also under indictment for corruption but also for money laundering.
According to SPAK, he has benefited from income worth 5.4 million euros from a construction business in an irregular manner thanks to government decisions made by his father-in-law.
