Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha

Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha addressed the Democrats with a message, while it is believed he is currently under "house arrest" mode.

Berisha says any move towards him is temporary, encouraging Democrats to continue the battle, as he puts it, with the motto "today, or never".

Among other things, Berisha casts serious accusations against prime minister Edi Rama's government and the justice system in the country.

The full message from Berisha:

Dear friends, democrats, Albanians wherever you are.

Today, what we all knew happened, the isolation and removal of the opposition leader's right to speech by the narco-mafia bastard of former Albanian gels Kristaq Rama and Spiro Koleka, Edi Rama, who is also the most corrupt dictatorial regime in Europe and beyond.

This measure of political arrest, evidence of a blind political vendetta of Edi Rama, not only expresses his inherent hatred towards the opponent, but above all expresses the fear, the horror that we dear friends have brought to his marrow and his world of crime with our battle of no return.

He who thinks he has annointed the pluralism and opposition will have the fate that the opposition people reserve for the enemies of freedom, dictators.

Dear friends, Sali Berisha is and will be who he always was. With or without house arrest, with or without police at the door, nothing will separate him from you, not only democrats, but Albanians wherever they are.

Sali Berisha will continue to work and fight every minute, with all forms and means to restore the democracy that is currently disfigured: The most of all who understands that the rotten rope is being broken is Edi Rama himself.

I am convinced that today we are together not just those democrats who are on the side of Sali Berisha, but also those Albanians who feel and experience that Albania is in danger. They are the majority of the citizens of this country, so do you know why our victory is unquestionable? It's because those who love Albania are more than those who just want Sali Berisha.

Finally, any measure that this power takes on me and the opposition is temporary. What remains invincible is our disobediation and our determination to turn the opposition's isolation into a battle of freedom and victory for Albanians.
