The Prime Minister , Edi Rama, has stated during the year-end conference with journalists that the socialist majority will not seek consensus in the bipartisan commission in the Assembly for the electoral reform, but will aim to achieve an arithmetic majority, by combining votes with certain deputies.
Rama accused Berisha's democrats, for whom he said that "bipartisanship" has been lost in Parliament and that there are already "partisans" and many "ballistas".
" The change of the electoral system, we have a process of electoral reform in the parliament, based on the idea of the bipartisan commission, we have a parliament with many partisans and many ballistics, maybe we don't have to look for bipartisanship and why we lost the solution.
We will see in the process and if some changes need to be made to ensure the election process in relation to the election process for the way the list works, we will seek to find the arithmetic consensus and that's it. In that parliament, there is no longer bipartisanship, but many partisans and many ballisticians ", said Rama.
Asked about the idea of creating a Presidential Republic, Rama said that this topic has never been discussed.
"We have not entered the powers of the President, I don't know if we have done anything. As against I did not understand the question about the Presidential Republic. It has never been raised as a topic," he said.
