Prime Minister Edi Rama in "Repolitix" Report Tv

Prime Minister Edi Rama has shown when the discussions with the Italian counterpart Giorgia Meloni started, to then reach the signing of the agreement for housing thousands of African immigrants in our country.

Rama said that Meloni proposed to her for the first time, much earlier than during the summer of this year when he came on vacation to Vlora. "I told him, we discuss it, why not", said Rama.

"It is further than that, in a previous meeting we had, she explained to me what her position is in general on this topic, and then asked me if we would be available to discuss this cooperation. I told him that we have had requests from other countries and we have been closed, but Italy is different and we discuss it.

One of the topics when he came on vacation was this, and we discussed it at length, and I told him let's start a joint group. We need clarity in terms of the division of responsibilities and international law, I told him. We set up a joint group and we exchanged drafts, in the end we agreed on the text and signed it after we approved it in the government and then we will take it to the parliament", said Rama during an interview on the "Repolitix" show.
