Prime Minister Edi Rama has distributed on social networks an article from the Italian newspaper "Gazzeta del Mezzogiorno", which evaluates the tourism sector in our country.

According to what Rama writes, Albania is on the right track to have a big tourism "boom" during the next year as well.

Rama's post:

"Albania is on the right track to grab the title of the Queen of Tourism 2024." This is what the Italian media "Gazzeta del Mezzogiorno" writes, while talking about the record set in 2023 with the high number of tourists, reflecting data from the private sector indicating a 35% increase in organized tourism contracts for next year.

Albania is proposed, not only for the sea but also for its culture and history, where already with the cheap and frequent flights with Ryan Air, Air Albania, Ita, WizzAir, plus three ports, the distances between Italy and Albania have been minimized.

In the article, the agreements signed by the Government, such as the one with ITB Berlin, the world's largest tourism fair, where Albania will officially be the country of honor for 2025, are evaluated as a success factor.
