Prime Minister Edi Rama, at a meeting with young entrepreneurs in Saranda, stated that they are considering an option that would allow hotel structures to accept a pre-declaration with a 65 percent agreement if they do not want to have inspections during the peak season.

The head of government mentioned to them the tricks they play by not declaring the beds correctly, and said that if they do not accept such an option that they are discussing, then they will face harsh punitive measures.

" By conducting an expert assessment with international expertise, we have decided to give an option to hotel structures to accept a pre-declaration with an agreement that during the peak period, they pay 65 percent, if they do not want any control. I believe it is very low in relation to the truth. We want to start with this, and whoever pays 65 percent occupancy for the entire period May-September, has no control.

But there was also 30 percent of the winter period that makes a kind of balance to create the possibility of maintaining the minimum staff so that those who accept the agreement will not have control from taxes. They pay 65 and 30. Consultations have been held with operators. Some practices have been seen and not to enter by force and not to create concerns for your business, but also to start gradual formalization, this is an option that you can choose or not, then you will face controls that will be much stricter , "said Rama.
