Kavaja Mayor's MEETING with Rama, a signal of departure from the DP?

Sali Berisha has taken the first blow of the salto with the primaries in Kavaja.

After leaving the most voted candidate in the district off the lists, and replacing him with the uncle of the former socialist mayor, Elvis Rroshi , the political leader of Kavaja, Fisnik Qosja, responded to Prime Minister Rama's invitation and participated in a meeting with tour operators in Vlora.

Rama was not spared by his presence at the meeting and scolded him.

"Kavaja, we had some problems with the primaries there. The mayor is here, I greet him. I see that you are confused by the primaries. Yes, yes, with two fingers of course. But let's make Kavaja part of this development."

7 weeks before the elections, Berisha is receiving a clear message from the right-wing bastion, Kavaja, whose municipality is run by Democrats, but in the May 11 elections they will not have their representatives to vote for him. 

This is the first time that Qosja has stepped out of Berisha's line and responded to Rama's invitations. As mayor, he has also participated in other meetings.

Meanwhile, at the meeting with tour operators, the Prime Minister had a conversation and criticized the informality of hoteliers.

He warned them that he would bring inspectors to the door, and in 2026 he would end it with a digital platform.

"You are making a big mistake with declaring your nights spent. We are giving you the option of pre-declaration, if you do not want checks until May, you will pay the fee to the municipality. Get ready, in 2026 you will have nowhere to move because we will introduce the e-visitors platform"
