Draft Budget 2023/ After 13 hours of fierce debates, the Parliament meets again

After 13 hours of discussion, the plenary session where the draft budget and fiscal package 2023 is being discussed was interrupted yesterday evening.

The plenary session of the Assembly started at 10:00 in the morning and lasted until 23:00, while it started today at 9:00.

In the 2023 draft budget, revenues are expected to reach 631.7 billion ALL, while expenses will be 687.2 billion ALL. It is planned that in 2023 the economic growth will be 2.6%, from the 3.7% expected this year.

Yesterday's session was accompanied by fierce debates between the opposition and the majority, and the "apple of dispute" was the Port of Durrës.

On the one hand, the opposition accuses the government of not being transparent, and on the other hand, the majority describes this project as one of the biggest investments that will turn Durrës into one of the most important points in the Mediterranean.
