Berlin Process, Spiropali arrives in Belfast, Ireland

Foreign Minister Elisa Spiropali has arrived today in Belfast, Ireland, where she will participate in the Berlin Process ministerial.

From Belfast, Spiropali has sent a message to the Western Balkans, calling for cooperation, development and integration.

The Berlin Process is an initiative introduced by German Chancellor Angela Merkel in 2014 with the aim of promoting regional cooperation with the support of European Union institutions.

"We just arrived in Belfast, Northern Ireland for the Berlin Process Ministerial.

From the city that transformed division into dialogue, we convey the same spirit to the Western Balkans. Belfast reminds us that peace is not inherited easily, it is built day by day through cooperation, development and integration.

"Albania has not gained the leading role in this process through rhetoric, but through reforms, action and trust," says Spiropali.
