Prime Minister Edi Rama spoke to the media after the meeting of the Presidency of the Socialist Party. He responded to the interest of journalists regarding the name of the new President of the Republic, emphasizing that so far there is no concrete name.
Meanwhile, Rama reiterated that there will be no negotiations on the name of the President with the Re-establishment Commission.
Time for reflection?
Rama: I would say that these criteria, field profiles, are mechanisms to create fog along the way. While it is clear that it is neither the field nor the profile meetings for the presidential candidacy, that regardless of the field and what can be written, it is absolutely unnecessary to go towards a clear figure. Definitely, this whole Albanian community needs a point of reference and a worthy Albanian / young person, who everyone would like to consider a person who builds a bridge of respect.
Signal from PD to negotiate?
Rama: There is no process yet. We also heard the report made by the Special Commission that we set up. I have said and I repeat that we do not make any negotiations and no communication to do in the function of the future with what in the function of politics is the representative of the world beyond.
President from outside the territory?
Rama : It would be very good to come, but our Constitution has an obstacle in this regard. It is a Constitution made in another aspect and emphasizes that the President is elected a president for the last 10 years in our country.
