DP requests the Assembly: Establish the "McGonigal" investigative commission with a duration of 6 months

The Democratic Party officially filed in the Assembly the letter with over 35 signatures necessary for the establishment of the Investigative Commission on the connections of Albanian officials with former FBI official Charles McGonigal.

The DP is demanding a 6-month investigation into this issue in parliament, while as the law on investigative committees stipulates, the chairman belongs to the opposition and out of 11 members, 6 belong to the majority.

The Democratic Party determines that the object should be "verifying the legality of the actions of Albanian officials in relation to former agent Charles McGonigal."

The DP also requests an assessment of the need to take measures, including legal interventions through the adoption, correction or supplementation of relevant legislation to guarantee the principles of legality, integrity, correctness and honesty in the relations of Albanian officials with foreign officials.
