From the Committee on Economy, Employment and Finance, Socialist Party MP Erion Braçe said that the decline in the agricultural and industrial sectors is a concern for the country.

According to him, ' it is not fair that a farmer is forced to work as a sanitation worker' .

" They exist because we say that the Bank of Albania still has two or three months left. The concerns I have are directly related to some of the issues that I tried to mention in his statement. First of all, it is related to the economy and net output.

It is a problem that has been around since 2024, but it has also materialized in 2025. The decline in industrial and agricultural production, two of the country's most important branches, has had an impact on the decline in exports. Especially in these two fields that also have a very large share of employment.

This is a recurring concern. But if a year earlier we had the effects of earthquakes, pandemics and war. Now that we have consolidated, the decline in these two sectors is worrying. The decline in industrial production combined with the strong growth of tourism. We have a structural change in the national economy.

The question I have and which materializes this change: Do you think it is right for a metallurgist to become a waiter? Do you think it is right for a farmer to become a sanitation worker? I think not ," said the SP MP, Braçe.
