The departure of Genc Deromemaj from the ranks of the Democratic Party and his appointment as head of the Vlora Cadastre caused quite a stir.

The former head of the DP branch in Vlora and part of the opposition entity since 2002, abandoned his party for the leadership post in the Cadastre, which was entrusted to him a few weeks ago.

But, a Top Channel research reveals that leaks from the Democratic Party of Vlora are numerous. Senior DP figures, with a long contribution to the party, have already left.

Zamira Sinaj, a member of the Presidency of the Democratic Party and former director of the Vlora Psychiatric Hospital during the time when this subject was in power, has already become part of the Socialist Party, being elected as a deputy in the next parliament. Moreover, Sinaj on May 11 was on the SP safe list.

Many other names, who were members of the Democratic Party, today have become part of the public administration, led by socialists. The deputy mayor of Vlora, Klea Lalo, comes from the ranks of the Democrats, as well as the three councilors of the socialist mayor, Ermal Dredha: Sokol Kuçi, Erdet Mandi and Saimir Haxhiu. Also, the Vlora Hospital is run by a former democrat, Julinda Çuni, while Taxes by Bled Taushani, once part of the DP structures.

For the leader of the Democratic Party in Vlora, Hysni Sharra, the appointment of the Democrats to leadership positions was their own choice.

The leaks from the Democratic Party were also commented on by the former head of the Vlora branch, a candidate in the lists closed on May 11, but who could not win a mandate, Atird Hoxha, who sees the departures as Rama's plan to weaken the DP.

Vlora is known as a left-wing stronghold, which in every election cycle has entrusted the government to the Socialist Party.
