Actor Naun Shundi

The well-known actor, director and playwright, Naun Shundi is facing a battle with his health. The illness forced him to quit his job at the Señorja e Bujtinës theater, founded by himself.

The artist was sent for specialized treatment to a hospital in France, but high financial costs have forced family members to seek help. For this purpose, the Ministries of Health and the Ministry of Culture have guaranteed medical treatment.

PRESS RELEASE:

The Ministry of Health and Social Protection, in cooperation with the Ministry of Economy, Culture and Innovation, clarifies the public opinion regarding the health condition of the well-known actor Naun Shundi.

Following the announcement received on August 7, 2025 from MEKI, the Ministry of Health immediately contacted the actor's family members and offered its full support. Initially, the readiness to cover all the necessary medical intervention expenses was guaranteed.

While waiting for the biopsy result, the need for further support in the continuation of treatment was ascertained. Even at this stage, the Ministry reaffirmed its readiness to provide full assistance.

Currently, the actor is expected to return to Albania, where he will start treatment at the Specialized Center at QSUT.
