Albania has not left any task unfulfilled and the EU must open negotiations with our country. This is what Prime Minister Edi Rama said during the joint press conference with the Commissioner for Enlargement of the European Union, Oliver Várhelyi, who is paying an official visit to Tirana today.

"This is not an issue related to what we have done or not done in Albania, but it is related to the stalemate created by Bulgaria's veto on Northern Macedonia. "We are on a course that has defined our position as a constructive one and related to the position of Northern Macedonia."

Meanwhile, Rama stressed that all the work that is currently being done with Bulgaria can not be ruined just because we want to integrate as soon as possible.

"I can not fall on my feet now or I fell and I died no matter how right we are because otherwise we are locked in the bathroom as it happens with children who fall on their feet in movies," said Rama.

He stated that they will wait until the end of June to take the process forward together with the RMV.

But Rama said that if negotiations do not open in June, then Albania will seek secession from northern Macedonia, which has a problem with Bulgaria.

"I also informed him with the fact that we have consulted with the Albanian citizens that if they would agree with the case that after 6 months of the end of the French presidency the situation remains unchanged, Albania should change course and openly demand secession from Northern Macedonia . "But that remains to be seen as an approach after this Council of Europe meeting."

"The bachelor's scarf must be burned very carefully, I have experience with this," Rama said.
