The leader of the Democrat Party, Sali Berisha , at the press conference, also reacted to the statement of the leader of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta , who claims that he was threatened in prison.

Berisha described it as a vengeful act by the prime minister, while saying that Rama and the Minister of Justice, Ulsi Manja , control the prisons  .

"Finally, I condemn with the greatest force the threat they made in prison to the former President of the Republic, Ilir Meta. This is a bandit, vengeful, primitive act directly by Edi Rama. And I warn Edi Rama that whatever may happen, will absolutely become personal. Order, today they have gone to take his breakfast bite down his throat and it is known who controls the prisons. Rama controls them with Ulsi Manja".

The leader of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, gave a message from prison today, saying that he is checked every day in his cell.

According to him, today during Prime Minister Edi Rama's speech, he was subjected to a special and thorough physical check.

"They suspect I sawed through the bars of the cell and escaped," he added.
