Tirana Mayor Erion Veliaj, arrested by SPAK order, will be briefed on the security measures today. The hearing began at 09:00, but was postponed to 13:30, after lawyers requested time to review the investigative documents.

Meanwhile, sources indicate that prosecutors Olsi Dado and Altin Dumani clarified that Veliaj is not a convicted person, unlike what was initially presented in the SPAK investigative file.

The court status document dated February 11, 2025, stated that Veliaj was not convicted, reports Shqiptarja.com.

This clarification was also made in the hearing by the two prosecutors, who said that it was an error in the electronic registry.
