The candidate of the "Bashke Fitomje" coalition, Zef Hila in Vaun e Dejës, personally congratulated his socialist opponent who took over the leadership of the municipality. He shook Kristjan Shkreli's hand and wished him success in his new job.

“Në mesazhin tim, i kam uruar të gjitha të mirat dhe suksese në udhëheqjen e qytetit tonë të bukur, rivalit tim. Ne jemi një parti demokratike dhe vlerat tona janë të ndërtuara në bazë të respektimit të vullnetit të sovranit. Në fund të fundit, ndryshe nga garat sportive, në garën politike ka vetëm një fitues. Megjithatë, unë nuk do të ndaloj përpjekjet e mia për të ndihmuar Gjirokastrën dhe qytetarët e saj nëpërmjet punës time dhe angazhimit në shoqërinë civile”, tha Lani.
