The deputy of the Democratic Party in the District of Vlora, Fation Veizaj,

Fation Veizaj, deputy of the DP in the Vlora region, has given up his mandate as a deputy.
'Dear friends, When I had the honor of being elected deputy of the Democratic Party in Vlora District, I never thought of the divisiveness of the Democrats. Unfortunately, for a year and a half, the Democratic Party has not managed to end the division. Neither the leadership nor its deputies are responding to the Democrats' interest in making it a leading, respectable and winning force.

The new wave of exceptions in the Democratic Party was too much. It may be a tactical decision in function of the numbers in the group, but the decision lowers even more the credibility and seriousness for the future of the decision-making group.

Democrats are right in their anger, frustration, and even sarcasm. I have experienced all three of these sensations during these days.

In this troubled time for the Democratic Party, I have tried not to feed the division, to stay close to the voters, to respect their beliefs, but recent developments have shown that the division in the Democratic Party is irreversible.

Categorically rejecting the exceptions on the one hand, but also the way used by certain individuals in search of personal power, without respecting the dignity of the elected deputies and consequently deepening the division on the other hand, I have decided to give up the mandate of the deputy.

I will continue to perform my duty as an opposition full-time, working with the opposition candidates for the best possible result in the local elections!
