"Italy, an important strategic partner of Albania" - Minister Ermal Nufi meets his Italian counterpart in Rome

Minister of Defense Ermal Nufi held a meeting with the Minister of Defense of Italy, Guido Crosetto, where the focus of the conversation was the strengthening of bilateral cooperation in the field of defense and security.

During the meeting, the two ministers discussed deepening cooperation between the two countries, with a focus on increasing the interoperability of the Armed Forces, as well as new opportunities for cooperation in the defense industry.

Minister Nufi praised Italy as an important strategic partner of Albania and a valuable ally within NATO, underlining the importance of the close partnership between the two countries in facing common security challenges.

During the conversation, the shared vision of Albania and Italy for a safer region and a stronger Europe was reaffirmed.

In this context, the two ministers reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining stability in the Western Balkans, supporting international missions in the service of peace and security, as well as strengthening NATO's role in the face of new security challenges.
