Former MP Monika Kryemadhi appeared today at the premises of the Special Prosecution Office (SPAK), in implementation of the "compulsory appearance" security measure.

After leaving the special institution, she stopped for a statement to the media, where she was asked about the previous statement by the leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, who had alluded that government officials or former officials are attempting to avoid arrest measures through pregnancy.

Treating the situation with strong notes of irony and humor, Kryemadhi firmly stated that she herself guarantees that she will not be left with a burden, while joking that at this rate it seems as if a "mini-maternity" is being set up, since according to her, the entire situation is being exploited to escape justice.

"I don't have to worry about it!" she said, adding that Berisha's statement can be seen both in the context of gossip and truth.

"I guarantee you that I will not be left with a burden. I say this. Of course, people, to find different ways and procedural paths, can be rumors, but also truth. Every time a baby is born, it is a good thing. Maybe, knowing that they are depopulating Albania, they are setting up a mini-maternity", he said.
