The residents of Dimal have again taken to the streets this evening to protest against the Territorial Reform, which envisages the merger of the Dimal Municipality and its unification with Berat.

With banners in their hands, the protesters called on the government not to touch the Dimal Municipality.

They expressed that Dimali is the place where they want to raise their children and that this municipality represents one of the areas with the highest agricultural production in the country.

According to them, merging with the Municipality of Berat will make life and economic activity more difficult, especially for farmers in the administrative units of Kutalli, Cukalat and Poshnje.

During the protest, the administrator of the Kutalli Administrative Unit, Miço Rakazia, publicly announced his resignation from office.

He stated that he is making this decision because, according to him, with the merger of the Dimal Municipality, there will no longer be services for citizens.

"Since there will no longer be any services for citizens in Dimal, I resign from my position," Rakazia said to the protesters.
