The Socialist Party and the Democratic Party joined the votes last night to vote on the amendments to the law " On the right to information about the former state insurance documents of the Socialist People's Republic of Albania ", an initiative of the SP parliamentary group, thus paving the way for verification of all suspects as a former collaborator of the State Security.

With 96 votes in favor and 2 abstentions, the exclusive decisions of the " Bezhani " and " Mezini " commissions were annulled, giving the right to the Files Authority to reassess the figure of officials equipped with a cleanness certificate.

What is noticed in the voting documents is the fact that no one from the Sali Berisha Reestablishment Commission participated in the voting, not even Oerd Bylykbashi who was present in the Hall.

The votes of the official DP deputies were almost all in favor, while it was noticed that 2 socialist deputies voted to abstain, Damian Gjiknuri and Nasip Naço .

The former head of the Red and Black Alliance, Kreshnik Sapahiu , briefly commented on the approval by the Assembly for the opening of the insurance files. According to him, this step leads to the exclusion of the IM spy from politics.
