The mayor of Divjakë, Fredi Kokoneshi, was physically attacked two days ago in the city center.

It was Kokoneshi himself who reported a 32-year-old man, identified as Dritan Sterkaj, to the police station.

Fredi Kokoneshi, 54 years old, reported to the police saying that he was punched and insulted because of his duty by the 32-year-old.

The author has not yet been detained by the police. Specialists for the Investigation of Crimes at the Divjak Police Station, under the guidance of the Lushnje Prosecutor's Office, referred the materials to the Prosecutor's Office for evaluation.

Divjakë/ On 11.07.2022, citizen FK, 54 years old, resident of Divjakë, (Mayor of Divjakë Municipality) reported to the Divjakë Police Station that citizen DS, 32 years old, resident of Divjakë, punched him and offended him because of his duty. Specialists for the Investigation of Crimes at the Divjak Police Station, under the guidance of the Lushnje Prosecutor's Office, referred the materials to the Prosecutor's Office for evaluation. - it is stated in the police announcement about the denunciation made by the mayor of Divjaka.
