At least 400 State Police officers will maintain security in today's protest announced by Sali Berisha's group, in front of the Parliament building.
It is learned that the police will create a security cordon around the entire building, while they will be assisted by several armored vehicles, which can throw water with high pressure.
The purpose of these extreme measures is to prevent protesters from marching towards the Parliament building and eventually entering.
However, it is not known if the opposition has such a plan to escalate the situation, or if it will be a generally peaceful protest.
Meanwhile, dozens of high-quality cameras have been installed around the area where the protest is expected to be held.
The announced protest of the opposition coincides with the parliamentary session which is expected to start today at 17:00.
