Election victory, Zelensky: Congratulations to Edi Rama and the Socialist Party!

Socialist Party leader Edi Rama has received his second congratulatory message from his Western counterparts, this time from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. Earlier, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni congratulated Rama.

While congratulating Rama on his victory, Zelensky - on social media - thanked Albania for its steadfast stance against the Russian invasion.

Zelensky's message:

Congratulations to Edi Rama and the Socialist Party for the convincing victory in the elections. I wish you success in serving the Albanian people.

We appreciate your clear and unwavering stance on the need for lasting peace for Ukraine, which can be achieved through a complete and unconditional ceasefire.

I look forward to further strengthening the friendly relations between our countries for the benefit of both our nations.
