The difficulties in listening to all the CDs with audio recordings of the preliminary hearing in prison have led former Minister of Health, Ilir Beqaj, to request to have "Diella" in his cell.
Beqaj claims that he was not notified of the charge according to the law.
"Apparently, I need a Sun... I can't afford it, or have a computer," he said ironically.
The former minister has also expressed objections to the previous hearing, where the charge against him was reclassified from "abuse of office in collaboration" to "theft by abusing office, within the framework of a structured criminal group."
Beqaj: The minutes you gave me are incomplete.
Judge: Those are summary notes, you have the CDs.
Beqaj read the minutes of the preliminary hearing, which was held behind closed doors.
"I asked the judge: tell me, how much did I steal? And she used as an argument the fact that I am an IT specialist and attentive in the hearing," he added.
