British Foreign Secretary David Cameron was unable to complete his visit to Tirana due to the emergency meeting in his country, where Prime Minister Rishi Sunak announced early elections.

It was planned for Cameron to meet with President Bajram Begaj, but due to the change of agenda in Great Britain, he had to cancel it.

And so the Foreign Secretary, David Cameron, had a telephone conversation with the head of state after his visit to Tirana.

The Office for Foreign Affairs of Britain announced through a reaction on social networks what the two talked about.

"They discussed Albania's important role as a close NATO ally and reaffirmed the unwavering stance on Ukraine and facing regional challenges," said the Foreign Office in Britain.

David Cameron's visit to Albania this Wednesday was one of the shortest by any foreign official in Tirana. He stayed only 80 minutes on Albanian soil, where he was received only by Prime Minister Edi Rama, with whom he also held a press conference.
