The Ambassador of the United States of America, Yuri Kim, through a post on Twitter, has written that there are many attempts to lure or intimidate judges to give unfair decisions.

 " We are aware of more attempts to lure or intimidate judges and prosecutors, to distort justice, to insist on the impunity of the powerful - in other words, to drag Albania into the past. Judges and prosecutors must perform their duties in accordance with the law, with integrity.

It is time to break the old patterns of corruption and illegitimate influence in the judicial system. Albania must move forward, not backward, not even stay still.

The US is paying attention to all developments and will continue to strongly support the implementation of justice reform ," Kim wrote.

It is still not clear which event the ambassador is referring to.
