The socialist mayor of Vau i Deje, Kristian Shkreli, will continue his mandate. This was the decision given today by the State Election Commissioner, Ilirjan Celibashi.

The latter decided the continuation of Shkreli's mandate, while stating that "the subject proposed by the SP is not included in the conditions of the prohibition to exercise the public function of the mayor".

" We find that Kristian Shkreli, mayor of the Vau-Deja Municipality, proposed by the SP, is not included in the conditions of the prohibition to exercise the public function of the mayor, the continuation of Kristian Shkreli's mandate as the mayor of the Vau-Deja Municipality.

This decision enters into force immediately and is published on the official website of the CEC. An appeal can be made to KAS within 30 days from the announcement of this decision ", said Celibashi.
