Prime Minister Edi Rama has served iftar today on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, for Muslim believers and not only.

In the large hall of the "Palace of Congresses", hundreds of high-ranking personalities from politics, but not only, have gathered for this dinner. At the tables between Muslim believers, heads of institutions, there are also ordinary citizens, effective state police and even foreign ambassadors in our country.

In his speech, Rama praised the religious coexistence of Albanians, as well as thanked non-Muslims who joined the iftar.

"Neither religion, nor language, nor the work we do bring us together, but the connection with something similar, to which we give different names. The Iftar meal is not an ordinary meal, it is the meal of breaking bread. This glorious, exalting month. For anyone who does not belong to the Islamic religion, who does not follow the path of worship followed by the Prophet, participating in iftar is a kind of fasting in itself. Putting aside prejudices, performing a gesture of humanity between different people in a space like this where in our country, being different in religion, has not made us quarrel with each other", said Rama, among other things.
