Lawyer Spartak Ngjela, invited to the show "Breaking" with journalist Fiori Dardha on Top News, talked about the Russian influence in Albania and the politicians connected to official Moscow.
Referring to SP's request for the establishment of an investigative commission for foreign interference in Albania and disinformation, Ngjela said that the US may have disclosed data to them.
As for Russia's efforts to influence Albanian politics, the lawyer said that in 2017, when the PD entered Çadër before the prime minister, there were 280 Russian officers in Tirana.
"It is possible that the American policy has given them clues. Who are the individuals who may have started the movement with Moscow. At the time the tent was here, there were 280 Russian officers in 2017. I reported it and they didn't answer me immediately and after a month or so the ambassador came out and said that it is not true. Experts told me, lawyers can't know what could happen. They had also foreseen a dangerous scenario. They have people here, you know. 280 officers did not come for nothing, 3 were arrested in front of the tent. But they released them, because they told them if you don't release them, we will come and take them ourselves" - said Ngjela.
Further, the lawyer, analyzing where Russia can have an influence on Albanian politics, said that it was mostly on the right, since it has been in the opposition for a long time.
"They are present, it doesn't matter where. They want to have their influence here with anyone, because the Albanian world in the Western Balkans with the American alliance weakens Russia. It is possible that more are on the right, but they can also be on the left. Why do I say they might be right? Because they have been in the opposition for a long time" - added lawyer Ngjela.
