SHKODER – Shocked and angered by the surprising result in the race for the Shkodra Municipality, the local socialists declare that they have no way of agreeing with this strange victory, sources for Patronajisti claim.
The first to react were the patronageists themselves, Patronageist learns. Thus, both the urban patronageists in the city of Shkodra, as well as the rural ones, have gathered together one day after the elections, to compare the lists of each and to do additions-subtractions and multiplication-divisions of the case. In conclusion, the accounts did not come out.
"There is no way that we got so many votes in the entire municipality. We have even asked for the help of the rival democratic lists to compare the data, and we are convinced that something has been done wrong," declared the Shkodra patronageists.

The second to raise his voice was the winning candidate himself, Benet Beci. " We have lost, sir, and you can be sure that we will ask for a recount. We will not leave it at that, something is at play here," declared Beci, as he confirmed that he strongly condemns his victory and will file a lawsuit with the Central Election Commission.
"We will take the issue to the top. Even in Strasbourg, it will be necessary," said Beci, presenting to the reporters all the reasons why he cannot accept the victory:
"Now, let's talk openly. Look at me: Do I look like a solid political figure that Shkodran people might have voted for en masse? At most I look like the person in charge of the Post-Telegraph, sir, why should I become the beledije-reiz of Shkodra. Then, aman kiss me, have you heard me speak? I have no sign of that fantastic and unmistakable dialect, which is the stamp of Shkodran identity. All these years, when I talked to people related to my work, they either told me 'you're not from Durrës,' or, 'you're probably from Elbasan.' When I assured them that I was from Shkodra, they burst into laughter and ran away amused. So, you tell me: Where did all these votes come from, mor aman!"
Beci stated that it is clear that the real mandate of the mayor of Shkodra belongs to the democrats, so he will extend his hand of cooperation to all those moderate democrats who understand that there is no way for the socialists to win in Shkodra.
"Let's get over the old differences, and unite to demand a recount of the votes. And yes, new elections were needed for Shkodra, " declared Beci.

In order to ask him about this issue, Patronageist tried his best to contact the delegate of the SP Central Committee for Shkodra, Episa Spirodhalla. But the sources confirmed that since the evening of May 14, Episa had started dancing to the sounds of the famous Shkodra song "My Epis, my beauty," and since then had not stopped.
