A 51-year-old man has been criminally prosecuted at large in Tirana, following a complaint from a journalist who claims he was insulted and threatened via a phone call and text message following statements made in a television studio.

Police announcement:

The Crime Investigation Specialists of Police Station No. 2 referred the procedural materials to the Prosecutor's Office, where criminal proceedings were initiated against citizen AT, 51 years old, resident of Tirana.

The proceedings began after a complaint was filed by citizen AT, 37 years old, a journalist by profession, who reported that, after leaving a television studio, where he had made statements regarding citizen IT and his brother, citizen AT, the latter had contacted him on the phone and sent him a message, insulting him and asking him to meet.

 In connection with the report, citizen AT was accompanied, who stated that he had contacted the complainant to ask for clarification regarding the statements made by him.

The materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Tirana, for further action .
