Kosovo was shocked yesterday evening by the gunshot wound of 19-year-old Ardit Zymeri, who was shot by his peer Bleon Dibrani.
According to media reports, the perpetrator and the victim may have had a conflict over a girl, while another suspicion is related to a verbal conflict that started inside the school premises.
On the social network Tik-Tok, an account named Jona has published a video of the victim with a dedication to Ardit Zymeri, introducing herself as the latter's girlfriend. In the video's caption, she writes:
"I have a white soul, which will be with me all my life. Did you have a lot of heartache? Why didn't that bullet come to me, but to you? You've always told me that I have to be strong for everything, and today this word is taking on meaning."
You've always told me that God only takes those he loves, it's true, he loved you more than us, and took you close to him. I'm Arditi, thank you for every piece of advice you've given me and for telling me that I need to be strong, I am, I am for my angel who is watching over me from above, from now on.
Oh light, I miss your voice, just as I'm used to hearing it every night, and you showed me that you would always be with me, despite all the evil that could come to us in life. I am Arditi, I'm sorry I wasn't close to you, but your white soul will be in my body, spiritually. You know that your Jona will never forget you. Rest in peace, I am an angel," the girl wrote on TikTok.
It remains unclear whether this account actually belongs to the girl in question.
The serious incident occurred yesterday evening at around 20:35 on "Galip Badivuku" street in Vushtrri. 19-year-old Ardit Zymeri also played football for the FC Mitrovica club. The perpetrator, Bleron Dibrani, was arrested a few hours after the crime and has admitted his guilt to the police.
