Joni Proni, who for 14 years served as Liam Payne's personal bodyguard, shared his emotions after the tragic news of the singer's death.
In an interview for the show "Jetë Shqiptare" on RTSH, Proni said that he was shocked and deeply affected by the loss of Liam, whom he described as a wonderful and loving man.
According to Proni, Liam was a closed person and had suffered from alcohol problems for years. He revealed that he had often criticized the singer for this habit and had even taken the alcohol from his hand, trying to help him.
"I loved him like my own son," Proni said, "but lately I've been very worried about him."
Proni blamed the music industry for the negative influence it had on Liam, describing it as an environment filled with degenerate people. He believes the pressures and challenges of the industry played a big part in Liam's vices and the tragedy that followed.
"If I was with him, Liam would be alive today," Proni said tearfully, recalling that the singer always treated him with respect and love. "He was a simple guy who would invite you into his home and make you feel part of the family."
The tragic event has shocked the music world and fans of Liam Payne, as his former bodyguard mourns the loss of a person he considered a part of his life for more than a decade.
