One of the icons of Paris has undergone an unexpected transformation.
The wings of the place known for its cabaret, "The Red Mill", have fallen to the ground during the night hours, fortunately without causing injuries to people. Locals and tourists alike got a close look at the workers who began repairing the 19th-century facade.
"It is a symbol of Montmartre, of its village, of the bohemian lifestyle of Paris. The whole world comes to be photographed near the Red Mill. For the moment they will do this without the unique arms, but I think the owners will do their best to install them again as soon as possible", stated a resident of the neighborhood.
"It's a good thing no one was hurt, we're lucky. Restoring the arms is not something complicated, it will just take some time," declared another.
It is not yet known what caused the sails of the wooden structure to fall, but the company responsible stated that it is suspected to have been a technical problem and not an intentional act.
